Colombian journalist and filmmaker Afranio Franco lost the tools of his livelihood when he was accosted by two gunmen who identified themselves as FARC guerrillas.   Unhappy at the material that Afranio had been filming that day, the gunmen stole all of his camera equipment, tapes, money and documents.

Overnight, Afranio’s main source of income dried up and he and his family were left struggling, so the Trust gave Afranio a small grant to help him buy a second-hand camera to re-establish his production work and help him get back on his feet.
